The StudyInRomania Student Ambassador Program (SIR-SAP) is looking for 10 dynamic and enthusiastic students like you to promote the Romanian higher education and represent the StudyInRomania brand, inspire prospective students from around the world.

About the Program
The StudyInRomania Student Ambassador Program is a flagship initiative under the project “Romania towards 2030: Enhancing International Relevance through Internationalization of Higher Education”. Coordinated by the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, this project aims to showcase why Romania is a top-tier international education destination.
As a Student Ambassador, you will play an important role in promoting the StudyInRomania brand, increasing the visibility and attractiveness of Romanian higher education globally. This is a voluntary, non-remunerated position, but the benefits are substantial. You will:
- • Receive an official certificate of participation and acknowledgment of your contributions.
- • Enhance your leadership, communication, and digital marketing skills.
- • Build confidence through public speaking, content creation, and cross-cultural engagement.
- • Participate in training session and educational events.
- • Participate in promotional events (webinars, education fairs) – if possible.
- • Visit various university campuses to engage with students and promote student life in Romania.
- • Connect with education professionals, higher education institutions staff and peers from diverse backgrounds.
- • Inspire prospective international students to choose Romania for their studies.
- • Contribute to strengthening Romania’s position as a global education hub.
- • Represent Romanian higher education institutions and share your authentic student experiences.
- • Make an impact by helping shape the future of Romanian higher education and attract more international students to the country.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the SIR – SAP program, you must:
- • Be a student currently enrolled in a Romanian higher education institution.
- • Be fluent in English (knowledge of additional languages is an advantage).
- • Have a strong interest in promoting Romanian education and culture.
- • Be committed to participating in program activities throughout the academic year.
- • Be interested in the power of social media content creation.
- • Be interested in making an impact by helping prospective students choose a life-changing experience through studying in Romania.
Application Process
We aim to select outstanding students from all over the country to join us. To apply, please follow these steps:
1. Prepare Your Application Materials:
- An updated CV highlighting your academic background and extracurricular involvement.
- Any links or references that you think are relevant to the role.
2. Submit Your Application:
- Submit your online application no later than 26 May 2025, 4:00 PM (Bucharest time) by completing this form.
3. Selection Process:
- Applications will be evaluated by a panel comprising representatives from UEFISCDI/StudyInRomania, the Ministry of Education and Research, and, if possible, invited members from partner student organizations.
4. Interview:
- Pre-selected applicants will be invited to an online interview to assess their motivation, English communication skills, and extracurricular activities.
*Please note that, depending on the number of applicants, additional requirements will be requested to support the selection process and ensure a fair evaluation.
For example, after the interview you may be asked to send us a short testimonial (text or video) explaining your study experience in Romania or/and why you want to become a StudyInRomania ambassador.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a StudyInRomania Student Ambassador, you will:
- • Create engaging content (social media content) about student life in Romania.
- • Visit various university campuses to engage with students and promote student life in Romania.
- • Participate in training sessions and educational events.
- • Participate in promotional events (webinars, education fairs) – if possible.
- • Engage with prospective students by answering their questions and sharing your insights about studying in Romania.
- • Collaborate with fellow ambassadors and higher education institutions representatives to develop creative strategies for promoting Romanian higher education.
