Founded in 1864, the University of Bucharest is one of Romania’s oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions. Since 2019, UB has been part of CIVIS – Europe’s Civic University Alliance, alongside ten other leading European universities, strengthening its role in shaping the future of higher education in Europe.
