Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc)

Faculty of Theatre and Film CLUJ-NAPOCA

Program description

The high standards and demands of the teachers involved in the training of future theater directors make the program offered by the Faculty of Theater and Television an open program oriented towards new trends in European and world theatre. The theater direction program in Cluj offers its students, in addition to the curriculum, the opportunity to choose from a wide range of preparatory actions for work in theater: workshops, conferences, directing assistants, creative camps, theater festivals. The student-director will prepare both individually and together with the future actors and theatre studies professionals/playwrights, creating together with them exam performances starting from the semester study topics, based on classic, modern and contemporary texts. Completion of the studies will materialize in staging a theater show in a professional theater (public or independent), a show that will be part of the season of the producing theater.

Among the graduates of the theater direction specialization are directors recognized in the Romanian theater space and abroad.
