Internet of things engineering

The Internet of Things Engineering Bachelor's programme at the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages (FILS), National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, is a four-year, English-taught programme designed to prepare engineers for the rapidly evolving field of connected intelligent systems. The curriculum combines computer science, software engineering, electronics, networking, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, cloud computing, and data processing to provide students an interdisciplinary foundation. Through project-based learning, laboratory work, and industry-oriented courses, students gain practical experience in designing, implementing, securing, and managing IoT solutions for smart homes, cities, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, and industrial automation.

The programme also develops competencies in enterprise system design, distributed computing, communication technologies, and innovation, while fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills. Graduates are well prepared for careers as IoT engineers, software developers, embedded systems engineers, AI specialists, or network and cybersecurity professionals, as well as for further postgraduate studies and international research opportunities.
