Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The History study program has been part of Lucian Blaga University since its founding in 1990, with History being one of the core disciplines at its inception. The program offers comprehensive academic training—from bachelor’s to doctoral levels—supported by highly qualified faculty recognized nationally. Its mission is to train competent specialists in line with current academic and societal needs, preparing graduates for careers in historical research (as museographers, archivists, researchers) and for teaching at secondary, high school, and university levels.
Learning outcomes include: assisting students, adapting teaching methods, analyzing sources, applying scientific and ethical research standards, conducting interdisciplinary research, using archives and open-source tools, managing research data, preparing academic content, and communicating findings to both scientific and general audiences. Graduates can conduct archaeological work, write and publish scientific papers, teach effectively, work in museums, maintain records, and promote the impact of history on policy and society, while managing their ongoing professional development.
