Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The Sociology program at ULBS has been active since 1998 (initially as Sociology–Ethnology). It focuses on developing students’ ability to analyze social problems through empirical research using a solid, refined, and creative methodological toolkit. The program also builds skills for evaluating and intervening to reduce social risks at all levels—individual, family, group, community, and societal—as well as for designing, implementing, and assessing social projects, programs, and policies for various population groups. Learning outcomes include: applying knowledge of human behavior, ethics, scientific methods, and statistical analysis; conducting both qualitative and quantitative research; managing and interpreting data; writing and publishing scientific papers; building professional research networks; managing projects, intellectual property, and open publications; promoting knowledge transfer and innovation; guiding people, monitoring trends, synthesizing information, and integrating the gender dimension in research—all within professional and interdisciplinary contexts.
