Mathematics and Computer Science

The Bachelor Program in Mathematics and Computer Science integrates fundamental and specialized disciplines in the fields of mathematical analysis, algebra, geometry and computer science, a great importance being given to the pedagogical training of students. They will benefit from mentoring from experienced teachers. If the graduate also was awarded the Teacher Training Certificate upon the successful completion of the corresponding programme, level I, he/she can occupy a teaching position in pre-primary, primary and secondary education.

- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and methods
- Skills in mathematical data processing, in analyzing and interpreting phenomena and processes
- Capacity to develop and analyze algorithms that allow to solve problems
- Ability to design mathematical models describing natural phenomena
- Skills in high level programming languages
- Capacity to analyze, test and use information and communication technology

- Capacity to apply rigorous and efficient work rules, to develop responsible attitudes towards science and teaching, to use creatively the personal potential in concrete situations, with the deepest respect for the ethical principles and rules
