Ecology and Environmental Protection

The mission of the study program consists in training highly qualified specialists and in carrying out scientific research activity in the field of environmental sciences, in accordance with the standards of development and integration into the national and international system of education and scientific research. The study program aims to provide specialized knowledge and ongoing training in the field of ecology and environmental protection, to develop an interdisciplinary, integrative perspective at a level corresponding to the current European and international environmental requirements, in order to prepare graduates adaptable to the demands of society. The acquired professional, cognitive and transversal skills qualify the graduates of this study program to occupy positions as ecologist and ecological advisor in environmental protection agencies, environmental guards, administrations of protected natural areas, public administrations, various companies, etc. Therefore, professional training through the Ecology and Environmental Protection bachelor's program responds to the needs of society by providing sustainability to social and economic development.
