Performing Arts (Acting)

The acting department in Romanian within the Faculty of Music and Theater of the University of West Timisoara, established in 1994, proposed as its main goal the training of professional actors. A central place in the preparation is the discovery and development of the artistic personality through improvisation exercises, stage transposition of epic texts, scene and role studies with an ascending degree of difficulty, studio productions and performances with the public, as well as theatrical internships. A close collaboration has existed for several years with the National Theater in Timișoara and with the other professional and independent theaters in Timișoara. Obtaining a bachelor's degree ensures the young actor the right to be employed in any type of state or private theater company, to specialize in theater pedagogy, to work in the field of cultural industries.
