Social Work

The Department of Social Assistance aims to qualify social workers with higher university education, specialists who can integrate as quickly as possible in the various places of activity corresponding to the qualification, following a training for a period of 3 years (6 semesters). The specialization of Social Assistance from the West University of Timișoara is accredited for the form of full-time education and the form of distance education for the bachelor level. The study program aims to provide high quality information and training for the social worker profession, with reference to specific knowledge, skills and values; to promote scientific research in the field of social assistance in order to clarify some theoretical aspects and find practical solutions; to contribute to the development of social assistance services and to the emancipation of the social worker profession.
