Program description

To graduate as BEng in Road Vehicles specialization the student will follow a strong mechanical preparation, based on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as well on Computer Programming and Computer Aided Engineering, to easy comply the Material and Manufacturing Technology, Strength of Materials, Part Design, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics. As a future engineer in Automotive Engineering, the student will study Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis and Body Structures, Automotive parts, Electric and Electronics in Automotive, Propulsion System (both Internal Combustion Engines and Hybrid and/or Electric). There will be also courses for Auxiliary Systems, Diagnosis and Testing Procedure, Maintenance and Reparation Technology for vehicles.


UPT has an infrastructure which ensures best conditions for teaching and research.
In west of Romania there are lots of suppliers for the automotive industry such as Continental, Hella, Mahle, Valeo, ZF, Autoliv, Honeywell, Lisa Draexlmayer, Takata, Deplhi and many others.
The UPT Racing Team is directly involved in Formula Student competition on Internal Combustion Engine and Electric section.
