Technology of Agricultural Products Processing

The “Technology of processing agricultural products” bachelor programme has as main teaching and research mission the training of highly specialised professionals in the field of food engineering, in order to make them able to apply the most advanced technologies for vegetal and animal products processing, aiming to ensure the sustainable development of the sector.
In accordance with the National Framework of Qualifications for the Higher Education, this study programme has as main goal the development of a coherent package of competencies and abilities that facilitate the quick integration of the graduates on the labour market: the knowledge and the understanding of the fundamental biological, physiological, biochemical processes applied in the transforming of agricultural raw materials into food, as well as the identification, control, reasoning and prevention of the eventual non-conformities occurred in the vegetal and animal products processing technologies.
