Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The program consists in the interdisciplinary study of the culture, history, and society of the United States, with a complementary focus on a second foreign language selected by the students. The vast majority of our professors have been trained in the United States, and every year we also benefit from the expertise of Fulbright Scholars or Teaching Assistants from the United States. Since this is an interdisciplinary program, it provides exciting, interrelated disciplines, such as American literature and civilization, film studies, media studies, visual culture, popular culture, history and politics, Native-American studies, African-American studies and a lot more! The program also represents an important opportunity to improve, consolidate or fine-tune English language skills due to the four hours a week of English language practice during the first two years (and two hours a week during third year). These classes address vocabulary, grammar, academic writing, and speaking. There are also opportunities for studying abroad, through an Erasmus scholarship during the first and second year of study (see http://lls.unibuc.ro/erasmus/ ) or through a Fulbright scholarship during the third year of study (see www.fulbright.ro).
