History of Art

The BA program in Art History provides a complex education in visual arts, their history and also their cultural and historical context. Students are introduced in a variety of themes, corresponding to all major historical periods and cultural areas, from antiquity to recent evolutions. Compulsory courses includes topics like: Medieval arts, Renaissance and Baroque art, Modern Art, Decorative arts, Arts in the 20th century, Esthetics, Methodology in Art history. A large selection of elective courses are also available, for more specific subjects: Ancient Greek arts, Ancient Roman arts, Old Christian art, Introduction in East Asian arts, History of Costume,  Romanian traditional arts etc.
