Agricultural biotechnologies

The aim of the programme is to train biotechnology engineers with a strong background in biochemistry, microbiology, plant physiology, traditional and molecular genetics. Special emphasis is placed on theoretical and practical knowledge of biotechnological methods of obtaining new varieties with improved characteristics, means of combating plant diseases and pests using biotechnological bioproducts, obtaining and using resources of plant and microbial origin for the isolation and purification of useful compounds.
