Geography of Tourism

The Gheorgheni University Extension is specialized in Tourism Geography. Graduates are provided with adequate training in tourism, like activity integrated in the geographic realities of the environment and in terms of accounting and legislative activities. By their fundamental and specific training in tourism, the specialists qualified in our institution integrate and improve quality in a very important activity, namely, organizing, managing and practicing a medial-centered and efficient tourism, which should be economically and financially correct.
The educational process has three main directions: geographical-touristic, economic-touristic and learning foreign languages. To this end, each main direction is supported by fundamental, specialty and complementary study disciplines. It also emphasizes the practical disciplines to form specialists which are easily integrated into practical activities.
Graduates will be able to continue with the masters level majoring in Ecotourism and Sustainable Development and to all range of masters and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Geography.
