Program description

The Building Services domain started in 1972 and prepares engineers for design, contractors, maintenance, restoration or modernizing of building services for residential, offices, public and industrial buildings. The following components are studied:
- Heating installations (human comfort and well being, heating plants, distribution systems, solar collectors, co-generation, floor heating, radiators etc.)
- Sanitary installations (water supply and sewage, sewage treatment plants)
- Ventilation and air conditioning systems (indoor air quality, air exchanger, chillers etc.)
- Electrical and lighting installations (transformers, electric distributions, switchboards, lamps, indoor and public lighting, emergency lighting systems)
- Cooling systems (heat pumps for residential and industrial use)
- Natural gas installations .
- Control systems (Building Management Systems, sensors, actuators, control and programming)
The program me is not focused only on interior systems but include also networks for heating, water and sewage, low and medium voltage systems. The students can participate to summer schools organized by our faculty or to go for Erasmus practice for three months in Germany, Netherlands, Hungary and Slovakia.
