Overview

Science and Engineering of Oxide Materials and Nanomaterials

Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc)

Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science Bucharest

Program description

The aim of the students activity within the study program Science and Engineering of Oxide Materials and Nanomaterials (SIMONa) is to provide them with a high quality engineering training in the fields of ceramics, glasses, inorganic binders, composites, both in terms of optimizing the manufacturing technological parameters of such high-performance materials, as well as their complex characterization, including the use of modern, high-resolution techniques. The study program aims to achieve educational objectives such as: quality training, which will ensure that graduates have engineering skills in the production of highly useful or high-performance materials, in accordance with the requirements of society, including consideration of environmental implications,
ensuring the ability to understand and establish correlations between the technological parameters of production, the compositional-structural characteristics and the properties imposed on different materials, ensuring skills in the design and processing of oxide and derivative materials, such as ceramics, glass, binders, composite materials, etc.
