History of Art

The undergraduate programme aims top repare specialists in art history who can practice asteachersor researchers; the gaining of fundamental knowledge of Romanian and universal art history; ancient, mediaeval, Renaissance, modern and contemporary art; historiography and museology; the specific terminology of art history and the capacity to correctly operate with it; the knowledge of  major research methodologies and modern concepts used in the study of history and art theory; to develop the students' ability to understand the historical dimension of the artistic phenomena’s development.
The programme provides its graduates the acquisition of fundamental and specialized knowledge of history of art and general knowledge in the field of social sciences, especially in history and museology. It also aims to develop the ability to transmit knowledge obtained both in writing and oral discourse. The aim is to offer graduates the opportunity to integrate without difficulty into various sectors of the labour market.
