History

The Faculty of History and Philosophy has an educational and research mission, provided by a teaching staff consisting of 77 professors, associate professors, lecturers and assistants, preparing specialists in History, Archaeology, History of Arts, Archives, Librarianship and the science of information, Jewish Studies, Ethnology, International Relations and European Studies, Security studies, Philosophy.
The Faculty of History and Philosophy comprises a lot of research centers or autonomous research institutes – The Institute of Prehistory and Protohistory, The Institute of Classical Studies, the Center of studies for Dacian and Roman History and Archaeology, the Institute of Central European Studies (ICES), the Institute of Oral History, the Institute of International Studies, the ”Altiero Spinelli” center for studying the European organization (CASSOE), the Seminar of Historical Anthropology, the Seminar of Historical Demography, the Italo-Romanian Institute of Historical Studies, the Ancient and Medieval Studies Center, the Center of Applied Research in Phenomenology (CEARP).
