Multimedia Technologies

The master programme is aimed at the advanced training in information technology
required in distributed multimedia communications systems, including dedicated signal
processing of all types (voice, image and video, text). The curriculum is focused on
analysis, synthesis and scientific design, and also on bringing additional knowledge
through applied research. Theoretical knowledge is combined with practical skills in
the areas of:
• analysis, design, testing and evaluation of multimedia distributed systems,
• modeling and planning multimedia and telecommunications systems,
• database design and programming,
• installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of hardware and software
for telecommunications networks,
• multimedia signal processing (image and video, voice, data, text),
• advanced systems design in the field of coding and compression,
• software programming for telecommunication and multimedia systems.
