Program description

Materials Welding and Quality Assurance Study Program provides a level of international training in a technologically strong area in all industrial fields. This program is aimed to graduates of engineering programs in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, physics, and chemistry who wish to develop their knowledge in the field of constructive and technological design of welded constructions, in the coordination and follow-up of the processes of welding joints. The IWE / EWE training guide is based on the study program.
After the first year of study, students can opt for one of two modules in year two. Module I – Materials Welding provides in-depth knowledge of constructive and technological design along with non-destructive control methods. The presentation of case studies leads to a correct understanding of the phenomena that influence the quality of welding, the occurrence of defects, and the causes underlying of the damage generation. Module II - Materials Quality provides information on materials and welded joints control, specific analysis and control software, and analysis and assessment methods for damage. They acquire knowledge on how to accredit control and audit laboratories.
