Romanian Language and Literature - English Language and Literature
The Romanian Language and Literature Bachelor program comprises a series of courses taught by renowned professors of the field such as Romanian Literature (Old, Premodern, Modern, 20th century and contemporary literature), Literature theory and a rich offer of optional courses. After graduating from this program, the student can choose to follow a Master program or enter the workforce with a variety of options: professor of Romanian language and Literature in Romania or abroad, book editor, magazine editor, news producer / presenter, cultural manager, cultural mediator, etc.
The specialization can be combined with English as a segment B language. The mandatory courses follow the historical evolution of English and American literature (the Medieval and Renaissance English literature, the literature of the Enlightenment, the poetry of the 18th century and Romanticism, the literature of the Victorian Era, the English literature of the 20th century, contemporary English literature, American literature) and developing students’ knowledge of traditional linguistics (phonetics, lexicology, morphology, syntax, language history) and theoretical linguistics (formal semantics, generative grammar).
