Geography

The mission of the study program is:
- to help develop the educational system in the spirit of a continuous compatibility to the EU system in order to ensure the recognition of its graduates as European specialists in the field;
- to satisfy the requirements of the beneficiaries through the use of a performant educational process based of the newest technologies of information and communication;
- to involve the students in national and international scientific research projects in order to attract them in activities of scientific research;
- to train specialists, teachers, with superior studies for the fields of Geography and Geography of tourism;
- to train specialists and researchers for institutions focused on tourism and geography.

The objectives of the study program aim to:
- Develop competences, abilities and knowledge specific to this study field;
- Develop the capacity to know, reproduce and understand notions specific to this study field, to establish relations of knowledge with other fields and professional areas, familiarity with the most recent developments and professional applications in the field as well as understanding and applying fundamental principles and methods of investigation;
- Use means of oral and written communication including in a foreign language;
- Use information systems;
- Enable the capacity to evaluate complex problems and efficiently communicate the results;
- Enable the students to show initiative in analyzing and solving problems.
