Physical Education and Sports

Physical Education and Sport fields of study prepare students to become teachers of Physical Education and Sport, coaches, sports instructors whose mission is to educate children and teenagers enrolled in the educational system and the field of sports. Physical education is part of permanent education and aims to maintain an optimal health condition.
The duration of studies is 3 years after which graduates receive a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sports.
Education is based on the European credit transfer system. 
Another direction of the activity of the Physical Education and Sport Domain of Study is that of scientific research which is conducted in accordance with the University strategic plan, materialized in scientific studies and articles published in specialized journals and monographs. The outcome of research is appreciated both at the national and international level.
The Department of Physical Education and Sport develops collaborations with universities in France, Spain, Greece as part of Erasmus programmes and with all Faculties of Physical Education and Sport in Romania.
