Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The three-year BA program offers mandatory courses on social theory (sociological theory, urban and rural sociology, social stratification), research methods (both quantitative and qualitative, 4 mandatory courses) and specific domains (demography, social psychology, social policies, communication studies). Optional courses regard sub-domains within sociology such as market research, sociology of work and organizations, as well as courses in related disciplines such as social anthropology and management. Emphasis is laid on acquiring research skills through individual and team projects, and the final BA thesis ought to comprise consistent chapters of theory and original empirical research. Students ought to carry out at least three internships or research/social activity stages, and two semesters of foreign languages and sports are compulsory. An optional pedagogical module is also available. Mandatory courses include two hours of lecture and two hours of small-group interactive seminars, where students discuss their readings under the teacher's guidance and present their individual/team projects. The Moodle on-line system is used, making available power point presentations and handouts.
