Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
Engineering Physics students study the same advanced physics topics as physics majors plus some engineering courses, particularly electronics and automation. The graduates are prepared to work in the private sector, in national laboratories or in academia, at the very forefront of technology, or to pursue an advanced degree in engineering. Industries that need people with very strong scientific backgrounds recognize the Engineering Physics major and what it stands for. Areas might include materials development, materials characterization (including nondestructive testing), laser and plasma technologies, renewable energy (photovoltaics, battery technology, fuel cells, etc.), medical engineering, nuclear technologies and nuclear energy, etc. The Engineering Physics major is a great preparation for almost any career, because students learn how to analyze complex problems and acquire a quantitative background that can be applied in many other fields.
