Business Information Systems

The main objective of this programme is to provide specialists in complex software applications analysis, design and development, applications such as enterprise software built on databases. These specialists should be capable of using and configuring various software packages for the economic environment. The main professional competences to be developed are: using concepts, theories, principles and methods of economic phenomena and processes investigation; efficient use of computers, operating systems and Internet resources; appropriate use of the office software products for solving specific problems; developing software applications and components that use databases, multimedia resources and various technologies and services; updating the information systems and ERP applications. Several transversal competences will also be developed: applying the principles, norms and values of professional ethics in their own strategy for rigorous, efficient and responsible work; identifying roles and responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team; identifying continuous training opportunities and effectively capitalizing resources and learning techniques for their own development.
