Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
Study program focuses on design, modeling and control of the current automotive vehicles, including commercial vehicles (passenger cars and trucks) and addresses all major subsystems: engines, transmissions, axle and suspension system, steering and braking systems. The curricula starts with two-year basic education, including courses such as mathematics, physics, mechanics, thermodynamics, etc. It continues with two-year specialization, related to wheeled vehicle dynamics, design, modeling and control of the internal combustion engine, the operating principles of the transmission system, the design of the clutch actuation system, and transmission dynamics and control, explains the automotive electronic control unit and its functionalities, provides the background of the automotive system diagnosis. A graduate has the ability to solve problems specific to wheeled vehicle, both in terms of engine issues and malfunctions of steering and braking systems. Thus, an automotive engineer with this specialty engineering can work in design, development and manufacture of cars, trucks, motorcycles and other motor vehicles. Automotive engineers also design and test the many subsystems or components that comprise a motorized vehicle.
