Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The programme aims to provide the essential background knowledge elements for future specialists able to design, build and maintain novel thermal systems. At the end of the curriculum, the graduates will be also able to operate, inspect and repair highly complex thermal systems and machines, which work on both conventional and renewable energy sources. This target is addressed by creating an in-depth knowledge of the operation principles and structure of such systems. The curriculum consists of a two-years basic engineering education with elementary courses (Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanics, Thermodynamics, etc.), followed by a two-years specialized education with highly-focused specific courses (Heat and Mass Transfer, Steam and Gas Turbines, Steam and Hot Water Boilers, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps, etc.) The programme develops a wide area of competencies such as: the use of basic engineering concepts to identify and solve challenging problems; the ability to operate, and maintain complex heat machinery and thermal systems; the development of reliable expertise in thermal equipment design; the implementation of quality management principles to engineering projects etc.
