Master studies in Thermal Machines, Refrigeration and HVAC (MTFC) are intended for graduates with basic knowledge in thermal sciences and engineering (mechanical engineering, civil installations, thermal energy and power plants) and wish to deepen their knowledge and expertise in this area. The MTFC graduate programme offers advanced courses that provide necessary information for students to gain professional competences in: - working with advanced concepts in thermal sciences to perform system energy and exergy analyses, thermal audit and optimization - use of advanced methods to design, construction, dynamics and regulation of boilers and steam and gas turbines; thermal power plants and heat management; turbine propulsion systems - use of advanced methods to design, construction, dynamics and regulation of refrigeration and cryogenic machines, artificial cold and HVAC - developing advanced skills and knowledge to approach thermal and hybrid renewable energy systems, co-generation and tri-generation installations, and their operation relative to environmental protection.
