Overview

Chemistry and Engineering of Organic Compounds, Petrochemistry and Carbochemistry

Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc)

”Cristofor Simionescu” Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection IAŞI

Program description

The study program CHEMISTRY AND ENGINEERING OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS, PENTROCHEMISTRY AND CARBOCHEMISTRY aims for the knowledge of continually changing technologies as an integrated part of the continuing education and self-improvement.
The curricula is correlated with the scientific and technological standards and with the requirements of labor market.
The common part of the curricula for Chemical Engineering field include fundamental disciplines (mathematics, physics, computer programming) and also specific disciplines (organic and inorganic chemistry, physical-chemistry, transfer phenomena) and is structured with courses, laboratories, scientific projects and practice.
By the means of specialized disciplines, the graduates acquire the following skills:
- Processing of raw materials: oil, natural gas, coal,
- Fundamental processes engineering for organic synthesis,
- Synthesis and conditioning technologies for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dyes, pesticides, surfactants,
- Selection, design and optimization of reactors and specific equipment.
The graduates of this study program receive an interdisciplinary training that allows the flexible and adaptive correlation between education, research, design, industry and management.
