Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The power electronics and electrical drives programme is part of the electrical engineering domain at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The aim of the programme is to assure high degree qualification for specialists trained within electrical engineering domain with particular applications in the power conversion and motion control fields. The first 5 semesters are devoted to common basic disciplines like mathematics, physics, electrical circuits, analog and digital electronics, computer programming, electrical machines, power electronics and electrical drives. The last 3 semesters are devoted to specialized disciplines in which the students deepen areas such as modern static converters, power electronics applications, microprocessors and microcontrollers, servo drives, control of the electrical drives - scalar and vector control techniques, digital control of the electrical drives, electrical drives for automotive and urban transport. A particular attention is also paid to enhancing the students’ skills on industrial implementation of the power electronics and the electrical drive systems.
