Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing

Master programme (Ma/ MSc)

Faculty of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management IAŞI

Program description

Master studies in Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing are intended for graduates having basic knowledge of  CAD/CAM systems and wishing to deepen their expertise in several research directions. The Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing graduate program has an interdisciplinary curriculum build on engineering branches as intelligent manufacturing systems, virtual product prototypes, resource planning solutions in manufacturing systems (CAPP-ERP), robotics, control and total quality management (TQM). The covered topics help the students to gain professional competences in:
- Designing  of virtual product prototypes and simulation of their manufacturing, using models in a  collaborative environment for Computer Aided Engineering  (CAD/FEM,CAM),
- Innovative and creative design of industrial products, including product life cycle management, technical, economic, ergonomic and ecological analysis in integrated manufacturing systems;
- Design, development and testing of resource planning solutions in manufacturing systems (CAPP-ERP);
- Project management, application of value analysis and product development in computer aided manufacturing;
- Monitoring, control and total quality management in intelligent manufacturing systems.
