Safety and Food Control

The specialists trained in the frame of the Bachelor Degree Programme Control and Security of Foods will have a broad orientation: quality control and expertise, production, scientific research, such that they will contribute to the diversification and the improvement of the quality of foods based on the technological innovation, to the increasing of the quality of life and also to the scientific management of the food sector.

The main specialty competencies of the graduates are: application of Food Science principles within the control and expertise of the food products; analysis and implementation of the technical innovative solutions for ensuring the optimal quality of foods, based on hygienically and minimal processing; applying of the methodologies with higher accuracy, feasible, faster, for detection of the residues and contaminants in foods; identification and implementation of the integrated systems of traceability within the food chain, based on the concept ‘’from farm to fork’’, in order to provide to consumers safety food products and to guarantee their origin.
