Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The BA programme Mechatronics is the only such programme in Romania organized as part of an IT faculty. The programme has been designed aiming to provide skills from four different areas of engineering: Mechanics, Electronics, Computers and Automation. The first two years of study are mostly common with the programme of Automation and Applied Informatics, and respectively Robotics. After a number of fundamental engineering disciplines (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Aided Drawing, Programming), the curriculum includes a number of disciplines defining the domain (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, Sensors, Computer Architecture, Computer Aided Design, Artificial Intelligence, Programmable Logic Controllers, Robotics, Mechatronics, Smart Materials), and respectively disciplines specific for this programme (Embedded Systems, Machine Vision, Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Process Interfaces). The curriculum includes courses, seminars, laboratories, projects and practical activities. The Mechatronics diploma holders have the opportunity to continue the studies in the same domain and to obtain both master and doctoral diploma at the same faculty.
