Upon completion, graduates of this BA programme will have acquired the following professional skills: appropriate use of concepts in the study of general linguistics, theory of literature, world literature and comparative literature; effective oral and written communication in Romanian and in the foreign language; description of the phonetic, grammatical and lexical systems of the foreign language and their use in text production and translation and in verbal interaction; analysis of literary texts within their cultural contexts.

These competences will allow employment as a teacher in secondary education, philologist, literary reviewer, linguistic reviewer, research assistant, linguistic consultant, education counselor, advertising copywriter, radio/TV contributor, special correspondent (country and abroad), researcher, columnist, lecturer, book publisher, commentator, editor, cultural officer, reporter (higher education), writer, editorial secretary (higher education), faculty/institute secretary, literary secretary, translator (higher education), secretary (higher education), assistant manager (higher education).
