Art of the Theatre Director

The two-year Master's study programme in the Art of the Theatre Director ensures that the director-graduate deepens the knowledge acquired during their Bachelor's programme. At the same time, it offers a chance to graduates from other fields, humanities or technical, to acquire theatrical knowledge." "The aim is to enrich the means of expression and, implicitly, a more complex approach to the act of directorial creation. Therefore, the repertory choices are broader, they include more diverse theatre chapters compared to those in the Bachelor's programme and aim to develop a personal directorial language for the MA student. Completion of this Master's programme requires directing a performance (produced by UNATC ""I.L. Caragiale"") and a dissertation, defended in front of a committee made up of Department professors as well as theatre theory professors.
