Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The educational goal of the program is to train students to the required level for approaching biomedical technical issues. Biomedical engineers are required by the health industry, the largest world field, with a total 100 billion USD / year business, a growth rate of 7% per year and one of the only domains expected to grow continuously in the future years. Biomedical engineers are employed in industry, hospitals, research laboratories or are involved in the assessment of new products on the market and in establishing of safety standards for medical devices. Some learning outcomes:1. An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems within a systemic approach.2. An ability to apply knowledge of engineering sciences and applied informatics.3. An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools required by the engineering practice.4. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.5. An ability to approach and manage electrical engineering specific topics.6. An ability to use and maintain medical devices following all the patient and personnel safety rules.
