Physics specialization, in Romanian, is the initial cycle of 3 academic years, offering to the graduate fundamental knowledge in a fundamental fields, namely: Classical Physics (Mechanics, Acoustics, Molecular Physics, Thermodynamics, Optics, Electricity), Theoretical Physics (Theoretical Mechanics, Electrodynamics and Theory of Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Physics), as well as Modern Physics (Physics of Atoms and Molecules, Electronic Physics, Solid state Physics, Nuclear and Particle Physics). Apart these, Mathematics, Programming Languages and Numerical Methods are taught to the students. For giving additional support in education and qualification for different jobs, courses in Pedagogy, Psychology, Physics Teaching Methods, Sport and Foreign Languages are taught, too. In the sixth semester, a few courses connected with the master specializations complete the curricula. At the graduation, a few position types are available, mainly in Physics teaching, in primary and secondary schools. They can work in company laboratories, design departments and directly in industrial enterprises. The general and specialization courses permit the study continuation at master level, and, after this, at doctoral level.
