The mission of the study program is in agreement with the general mission of the West University of Timișoara, these being education, by ensuring initial and continuous training at university level, and advanced scientific research, by creation at individual and collective level.

The general objective of the curriculum is in line with the mission of the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, which is to create an innovative and participatory environment for learning and scientific research in order to provide students with the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge in languages ​​and literatures. with a view to the formation of effective communication skills in the languages ​​studied, literary analysis and intercultural communication.
