Program description

This Master’s program of academic studies in the field of Forestry is the first in Romania taught in English, and offers students the opportunity to interact with and learn from nationally and internationally renowned specialists. Students will acquire skills in research and the management of resources and forest based systems.

Some of the courses studied: International Environmental Governance and Forests, Remote Sensing and GIS in Natural Resource Management, Applied Statistics in Forest Research, Biodiversity Conservation, Forest Stand Dynamics, Integrated Pest Management, Management of Wildlife Populations, Management of Timber Harvesting Operations, Advanced Forest Biometry, Forest Based Bio-economy, Energy Procurement from Woody Biomass, Life Cycle Assessment in Forestry.

Career perspectives: this Master’s program trains specialists in research, education, and forest management. It focuses on the development of skills and competences necessary for leadership, management, and entrepreneurship in the field. Graduates of the program will be able to work in top positions in Government agencies and NGOs, national and international organizations and companies, or choose a career in forest research.
