Structural engineering

"The mission of Master Program „Structural Engineering” at The „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi is excellence in civil engineering education, research and professional service. The goals are to integrate advanced knowledge and to ensure the knowledge transfer from academia to industry. 

The major area of interest addressed by the program are accurate numerical modeling by means of FE FE Analysis of various building topologies and types focusing on structural the performance under extreme loads including wind, earthquake, fire and blast. Current related research is addressing improved design methodologies, seismic risk evaluation & management, dynamic response of structures, progressive collapse, soil-structure interaction, structural health monitoring, a.s.o.

The program is dedicated to all graduates from civil & mechanical engineering, urban planners and architects. Our program educates students to assume leadership positions in engineering design, practice, research and higher education.
