Dental Medicine

Dental Medicine in English, being a 6 – year programme, 360 ECTS are received by each student that fulfils the programme. This academic programme enables students to earn the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, as well as the right for free practice immediately after graduation, recognised automatically in the European Union countries.

The 6 years of study are organised in 3 preclinical years and  3 years clinical years, as well as a large variety of elective studies. In the 6^th year the students are taught practical skills within the Specialty Dental Practice, that has been recently introduced, in order to enhance their practical knowledge for their professional future.

There are also a lot of extracurricular activities, organised mainly by the student’s organization, Bucharest Dental Students’ Association (LSMDB). The students in the Faculty of Dentistry have also the opportunity to participate in international exchange programmes, as the ERASMUS one, for the Study Scholarship (in Italy or Germany), during the teaching year or for the Traineeship Scholarships, which take place in the summer holiday, in university or partner dental clinics, along Europe.
