Proiect cofinantat din Fondul Social European prin Programul Operational Capital Uman 2014 – 2020
The program offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of critical theory and multiculturalism. Critical theory refers to those traditions in modern and contemporary European thought which are concerned with critical diagnoses of the historical present (from 19th-century European philosophy to the critical social philosophy of the Frankfurt school and of contemporary French and Italian philosophy). The term multiculturalism covers not just the social movements of different minorities claiming the socio-political recognition of their particular (ethno-cultural, linguistic, religious, gender etc.) identities, but also the theoretical-normative debates, as well as the institutional-legal proposals and public policies addressing these issues. The program is designed for graduates of social and human sciences aiming to study and to undertake research in the fields of critical theory and multicultural studies. The interdisciplinary curriculum contains courses in different subfields of Philosophy, Social and Political Sciences, Communication Sciences, Film Studies etc. It prepares graduates for a wide range of careers in education, politics and public policy, the arts, and also provides preparation for doctoral research.
