Civil Engineering

With a history of almost 25 years, the Politehnica University of Timisoara Civil Engineering bachelor program represents the first overture of UPT to internationalisation. The program represents an inter-disciplinary domain focused on the formation of civil engineers (designers, contractors and researchers) having the capacity to analyse and design civil buildings in the actual market conditions.
Thus, the program assures the adequate skills for engineers in order to control the design, erection, rehabilitation, exploitation and maintenance of new and old buildings by using classic building materials. The study program is conceived to develop the abilities of the engineer for individual study as well as for teamwork interactions. Based on European Bologna approach, the educational process is assured by lectures, internships and continuous interaction with the economical actors on the domain of civil engineering. The teaching staff is well prepared on teaching in English and for a decade the international exchanges students are attending the ICE courses.
