Sociology

How do people give meanings to their lives? How do communities, institutions, economy, IT&C and culture shape meanings, passions, and relations between people, communities and societies? This programme offers the lens to understand everyday life, organization behaviour, political behaviour, our relation with environment, social stratification and inequalities, and urban life. Along with introductory courses in cognate disciplines such as Marketing, Management, Economics, Anthropology, and Philosophy, in the first-year students will also take Introduction to Sociology and Research Methods. In the second year, students will dive into some subdomains of Sociology and in the third-year students will choose optional courses. This programme is ideal for students who would like to pursue further studies abroad and those who will work in an English language based environment.
