Fizică teoretică şi computaţională/ Theoretical and Computational Physics

The programme offers a balanced curriculum in modern physics by covering quantum many body methods, quantum information, nuclear and elementary particle physics, chaos and complexity, cosmology. By providing modern theoretical methods and advanced numerical tools, the programme gives students the opportunity to get involved in some of the international collaborations of the University of Bucharest, particularly those connected to the Extreme Light Infrastructure – ELI, DANUBIUS-RI, and CERN and/or perform research activities in the national institutes from Măgurele. The programme benefits from a modern research infrastructure, including scientific computing laboratories, a computing cluster of more than 200 cores, a theoretical physics centre, and various student facilities.
