Master programme (Ma/ MSc)

Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures Bucharest

Program description

Slavic Cultural Studies program - Russia and the Slavic Countries of Central and Eastern Europe, taught in Russian, the only master's program of this kind in the country, offers students the opportunity to supplement and deepen their general knowledge of history, political science, geopolitics, culture, language and literature with synthesis notions from these fields, with a focus on Slavic specificity in the European context (Russia/East/Central Europe; identity/otherness; cultural perception from within and without - us and the others).

The disciplines (history of Slavic people, Slavic literary trends, interculturality in neighbouring areas, etc.) provide students with an integrative picture of the constituent structures of the spiritual world in Russia and the Slavic countries of Central Europe (Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia) and, as a result, a good orientation in the cultural reality of these countries.
