Practical Theology

The Master of Practical Theology study program aims to form and consolidate the following professional competencies:

• - Deepening knowledge in the field of the study of Orthodox theology and the development of skills acquired through the Bachelor program Orthodox Pastoral Theology;

• Obtaining complementary competencies for those who have completed bachelor studies in other Theology degree programs (didactics, social work, sacred art) or other domains;

• Acquiring in-depth knowledge in the field of Practical theology with special reference to the doctrine of the Holy Sacraments, the history and evolution of Eucharistic anaphora, pastoral and homiletical methods in the current parish context, current canonical issues, the history and actuality of liturgical music in the Romanian Orthodox Church, the theology of church music;

• Ability to recognize, interpret the main current pastoral issues;

• Critical evaluation of fundamental notions of pastoral issues;

• Refining the skills of preaching the faith in an irenic spirit.
